The best thing to do is to try and kite him around the trees and don't forget to trap him. Don't forget to get all raid buffs avaviable and also investing in some flasks and potions could be good.

Comment by Allakhazam Finally brought him down today, server time Khadgar, dropped tier 2 gear, and one Eye of Sulfuras, so we were chuffed. The key to it is to time Tank switches perfectly, although keeping aggro is tough, his AC is incredibly high, and he is Immune to my aggro attacks.

Comment by My guild attempted the 40 man heroic hogger last week, we were doing okay, but he enraged early, and our best resto druid went down, from there we kept going for about 20 seconds, until we were forced to scatter and try swimming across the river.

Some of us got dropped by his dps aoe he dropped after we tried to run. The remainder of us backpedaled from the other side of the riverbank. We lost him, but soon he busted out from the water and finished us off with another aoe. Hardest fight in the game by far, I believe Blizzard have some special title reward for the people who beat him, similar to the one given to the people who cleared Ulduar.

All these must be done in less than 9 minutes. At this point and he will use stun every 5 seconds The stun now will have 7 seconds duration. If the tank is Paladin he must take all the aggro on Hogger and the use Divine Sheild,while he is immuned to damage Hogger is taking damage from the dps.

While the Divine Sheild reachs his limit the tank dies. At this point the Hogger to do not kill the melee dps the Range dps must give me attention.

While Hogger is still following the range dps the melee dps must behind him and both range and melee to nuke him. Bring alot of mana and health potions 2.

The warlock must make a soulstone 3. Repair your gear 4. Make sure you are full buffed Hogger Drops tier 10,and Legendary weapons. Yes, I tried to solo Hogger. And it was painful. I was a level 37 at the time, and had always read about how hogger was "Unkillable" and "pwnd all", so I decided to see just how tough this Hogger guy was. I had never done his quest, so I didn't know how hard he could hit.

I killed all the things around him, and glanced at him. I saw his health was , but I thought he would just be another weak creature. I hadn't noticed the large gold dragon around his nameplate.

So I go to hit him, cast a few spells, and noticed that he was hitting me. I healed myself, and kept attacking. Needless to say, he killed me. I stared at my computer, so confused as to how this level 11 creature could have killed me. I spirit rezzed, and went to repair my gear. It was at least 6 times worse then usual. So beware fighting this mob. He will take you down. Even at level And if anyone says that they killed him, he just got tired and passed out from boredom. All your doing is pickpocketing him.

Being an iconic symbol of pure pownage, this NPC has a reputation of attacking local villages and making little kids cry to their mothers.

This has resulted in quite the bounty on his claw, with the quest available to the Alliance. He is the leader of the Riverpaw Gnolls, and is believed to have a brother not far from his position. Hogger should be approached with extreme caution. Tips : Hogger does not stay in one place for long. He patrols the entire campgrounds, occasionally with some patrols with him. When engaged with other gnolls, be on the lookout for this elite. As for fighting him, you should be fine if you bring along a consious healer, strong tank, and a DPS or two.

The tank will get hit hard, but do not falter whatever happens. Again, watch out for patrols! Hogger doesn't drop anything special, unless you are very lucky. He may drop Tigerseye or Gold Pickup Schedule for your time, however. Turning in the quest will give you choices of very nice gear for future adventures. Good luck!
