Should i kill henselt witcher 2
The thing is, it;s made absolutely clear that in the game world you are the sword of justice. The only one, as it were. If you don;t kill the people you could kill for their crimes, they will go free.
This goes for pretty much everyone, but it's certain for the royals. Both the royal on the roche and iorveth's side of the questine will face no punishment for their actions. This is referred to as divine law or something similar. If you let him stand trial, he goes free. It is insinuated that he bribes the nobles. He then goes on to become king. Also as soon as he gets the opportunity he tries to get forces from the other kings to get back Lomark.
Same thing with Henselt. As per lynching, this is a non-argument for me. A lot of people go this way, they allow a traitor and attempted murderer go free because they can't stomach the idea of lynching someone. The search term must be at least 3 characters long. The Witcher 2 To kill or not to kill, the pig named Henselt? Steamisbetter Steamisbetter Sorry, data for given user is currently unavailable. The fact that he raped Ves pushed me over that edge. I'd rather have the kingdom have a chance with a new leader than have it continue to be ruled by him.
That said, it wasn't an easy decision, but at the end of the day I let Roche have his way with him and don't feel bad about it in the slightest. If we can hit that bullseye, the rest of the dominoes will fall like a house of cards. User Info: DarkNecromancer.
Henselt choice is definitely the hardest choice for me in this game. Killing him isn't the same like killing Loredo, both are obviously rapist scums, but one is a King and the other isn't.
I leave Henselt be, my reasoning is like what you said, if I kill him I'm just helping the agenda of the kingslayers, whatever it is. User Info: Kingsfal. Well from someone who beat the game while deciding to let Roche have his way, you won't bare any responsibility for it later on, I won't add spoilers, but it won't backfire on you Nice guy for the first time, go ahead.
PS: I don't think the real end of the game after the credits pass and which I think is a prelude to the Witcher 3 has anything to do with any decision you decide throughout the whole game, it's meant to be no matter what User Info: Senkou. I let Roche kill him. I didn't even consider the repercussions of what I did. I just wanted to see that bastard dead. But, if I had to weight the pros and cons of the decision, I think it's better to let him live.
User Info: MertensCW. I let my emotions guide me on that one and let him bleed. Mostly because he wanted me dead.
Rationally i should have let him live, had i taken the political impact of the region, etc into account. The game could've been more epic by allowing you to torture the mofo before death. Of course, killing him gives Vernon and Geralt and possibly the player a certain measure of satisfcation, but that's about it and there'd be repurcussions for the North in the long run.
User Info: damogamo. So he does care about his men, but then again he has people like dethmold working for him. Yo we gon krush da enemy-Sun Tzu.
User Info: Senkou. I agree that killing Henselt is not the best course of action. It'll be pretty bad for the North. But, since I was playing a neutral character, I decided to let Roche kill him. In that playthrough, politics did not matter to me. I can't imagine a witcher's life would be much different weather the North or the South were triumphant in the upcoming war.
What matters is that Henselt killed my friend's men, raped my gal friend, and tried to kill me despite everything I had done for him. So I decided to let him die. But, like I said before, if I had to give my personal opinion, I'd say it's better to let Henselt live. But it's just a game, so play it however you like. User Info: TheWarhammeronl. Remember that Geralt said she was lieing after the talk in the tent? I killed him, and then it figured out it was a mistake.
Though he is a jerk, he is seen as a great king, and the North needs as many leaders as possible for the incoming invasion from the south. Besides, Roche stabbed Hensalt in his back, i understand Roche's connection to his men.
But what was Hensalt going to do when he found out Roche was a leader in a conspiracy against him? Laugh it off? I like Roche but his reason for wanting to kill Hensalt is really dumb, and misguided.
